LTFRB sets up On-Site Mobile Processing Center at PITX

The on-site processing center at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) is tasked to facilitate issuance of special permits for bus operators who will be tapped to transport stranded OFWs and Seafarers to their hometowns/provinces across Luzon, as part of the 'Balik Probinsya' initiative of the government.

Around 200 bus units coming from different bus operators, will be granted special permits and are expected to be deployed and utilized for the program.

"The on-site mobile processing center has been setup, in an effort to fast-track the issuance of special permits for the buses which will be used for the ‘Balik Probinsya’ Program," DOTr Assistant Secretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark de Leon said.

Moreover, the DOTr and LTFRB have stated that fees for the required special permits are waived for this endeavor.
