The Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) on June 22 donated 10 assorted vehicles to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to beef up its mobility and logistics operations.

The AFPMBAI donation consists of one minibus, five vans, and four multi-purpose vehicles totaling PHP14.1 million.

AFP Chief-of-Staff Gen. Felimon Santos, received the vehicles from AFPMBAI president and chief executive officer, retired Maj. Gen. Robert Arevalo, in a short ceremony held in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

"The AFP once again expresses its gratitude for the unceasing generosity of the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. for donating more than PHP14-million worth of vehicles to the AFP that will help us in our mobility and logistics operations," Santos said.

The vehicles are intended for the AFP General Headquarters and the Philippine Army.

"We hope that the private sector like the AFPMBAI will never get tired of assisting and cooperating with the public sector, and the Bayanihan spirit to continue to inspire each and every one of us especially in this time of crisis brought by the (coronavirus disease 2019) Covid-19," Santos added.
