Here's What Went Down with the Now-Cancelled Ferrari F8 Tributo Launch

Last June 15, Motostrada Inc., the local importer and distributor of Ferrari and Maserati, was supposed to launch online virtually the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the latest V8 supercar from the famed Italian carmaker. And the actual car that was supposed to be launched was in this color exactly--Blu Mirabeau.

But the launch was cancelled on June 13, with just two more days to go, because the two newly-installed local managing directors of Ferrari--Mody Llamas Jr.--and sister company Maserati--Sam Versoza--supposedly wanted to hold the launch on a more grander scale befitting the Frontrow multilevel marketing platform they represent as well. As said in a report, "They have always been there since Dennis Uy took over--just silent," and they were there indeed at the launch of the Ferrari Portofino in Okada Manila in 2018. It wasn't hard to miss Versoza with a beautiful woman in his arms and his pants with the gaudy silver stripe down the legs.

In addition, as reported in various news sites, the two managing directors were very recent sppointees that they had no innput on the launch, so much so that, as verified by our source, the decision was made to cancel the launch and instead do things their way, down to the inclusion of Frontrow's in-house marketing team to stage the launch.

So, with a new team handling the Ferrari and Maserati brands, the push for more horsepower became a push for--in Frontrow-speak--POWER!
