Former Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has reportedly crashed his McLaren Senna LM in Monaco,

Sutil has been a journeyman of sorts in F1, starting his career with the upstart Midland F1 in 2006, which was shortly acquired by Spyker F1. Sutil was retained for the 2007 season but before the season ended, the management of Spyker F1 announced it was selling its team to what would eventually become Force India. From 2008 to 2011, Sutil drove for Force India where he scored his highest-ever finish in 5th place twice in the 2010 season at the Malaysian and Belgian Grands Prix. Sutil was then dropped by Force India for the 2012 season, only to be picked up again by the same team for the 2013 season where he again picked up a 5th place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix.

As for the McLaren Senna LM, it's a limited-edition car with 20 or 25 units produced, depending on who you ask. Based on the track-only Senna GTR, the Senna LM is actually roadworthy version. Here's a video of the car being ferried bya flatbed truck after the crash.

Based on a photo of the car as seen on the autosexoticosmecico Instagram page, the front end of the car struck a utility pole by the side of the road in Monaco.

Made largely of carbon-fiber, the repair bill of the Senna LM's front end is likely to be expensive.
