15 Taxi Units Launched in La Union

The Central Ilocos Transport Service Cooperative (CITRANSCO) launched 15 units of Taxi Service for the commuters of the La Union Province wherein the non-fixed route service will cater to any point of Region 1.

Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Regional Office 1 under Regional Director Nasrudin Talipasan hosted the launch which was organized by CITRANSCO Chairman Engr. Elmer Acapuyan.



The assembly and registration started at 8AM and the awarding of the Provisional Authority to CITRINSCO began at 9AM wherein Regional Director Talipasan commenced the launching through a welcome remark followed by a speech from the City Mayor of San Fernando, La Union, Hon. Alfredo Pablo Ortega and the Chairman of CITRANSCO himself, Engr. Acapuyan.

Attorney IV of LTFRB RO1 Atty. Veronica Peralta served as the host of the program while Chief Transportation Development Officer Atty. Anabel A. Marzan-Nullar concluded the event through closing remarks. The attendees, hosts, and guests made sure that the minimum health standards were properly observed such as wearing of face masks and face shields and social distancing.



The 15 units of Taxis were parked in front of the San Fernando City Hall where they performed the traditional ribbon cutting followed by a motorcade and a parade of all the taxis through the National Highway and turned to the Diversion Road Brgy. Biday back to the City Hall via F. Ortega Highway.
