DOTr'S Free Ride Service for Health Workers Program Continues
The Department of Transportation is continuing to provide free rides to health workers, not only in the National Capital Region (NCR), but also in regions 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Caraga Administrative Region
Free rides to other parts of the country are being offered thanks to the collaboration of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
As of August 29, 2020, the total ridership of the program reached 1,561,959, of which 468,528 total ridership in NCR-Greater Manila, while 1,093,431 in other regions.

Meanwhile, according to Road Sector data, a total of 95 vehicle units were deployed for free rides on August 29, 2020.
DOTr's partner in the program is Petron Corporation, which provides fuel subsidy to transport companies involved in the initiative.
Meanwhile, the toll fee remains free on all expressways in Luzon for medical workers. The free toll fee program was implemented due to the cooperation and cooperation of toll operators with the DOTr Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).
This initiative was made possible by the DOTr in collaboration with the Office of the President, Office of the Solicitor General, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (I- ACT)

(Citylink), Hino, Hyundai, uHop, and Toyota Motor Philippines.
