The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), and Grand Lodge of the Philippines (Freemasonry) distributed more than 900 reflectorized vests to cyclists and motorcyclists traveling along the EDSA-Santolan as part of the 'Maging Ligtas' (Be Safe) program. The MMDA wants to prioritize the safety of bicycles and motorcycle riders by ensuring their visibility on the road.

"We want to ensure the safety of everyone on the road," said MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim in a statement deliveredt in the local parlance. "The MMDA together with the Grand Lodge of the Philippines and PNP-HPG distributed more than 900 reflectorized vests to bicycle and motorcycle riders at EDSA. Their visibility on the road is important to their safety, especially as more and more people are traveling by bicycle now that public transportation is still limited due to community quarantine. This way, the drivers of the vehicle with them on the road will immediately see them."
